Early Morning Walk In the Garden.....

I looked out the window this morning to see some early morning fog... not much, but enough to draw my attention.

I decided to go out and enjoy an early morning walk in the garden... it was peaceful... and lovely...... I hope you will join me and see some of the things I saw...

I stood on the deck to drink my tea for a bit first... and the scenes were pretty... the bird songs were hushed, but present... the sky was lightening as dawn was breaking... the air was pleasantly cool and damp from the heavy dew...

Having just spent time with the Lord and reading His Word... made the hushed morning time all the more special.

The colors of a sunrise change subtly but continually....  and they are a joy to watch.

My soul can't help but thank God for His beautiful creation as I see the soft colors of the sky.

This brown thrasher kept me company for a bit as I watched him busily searching for... whatever he was searching for. :)

The sky continued to change... and lighten.

The dew on the plants created pleasing designs....

This catbird was searching through one of the herb gardens.....

After taking one last look out at the beautiful early morning scene, it was time to go inside and get to work... and finish my tea. The walk was peaceful and encouraging... and helped me to put off the effects of a night without much sleep.... and  feel more prepared to do all of the things I need to do today. I will be better able to minister to my family after such a time.

Thank you for taking an early morning stroll with me. What a refreshing time spent in the garden, talking with the Lord.

  1. So pretty - my favorite time of day in the summer when it's still cool and crisp outside :-)

    1. Thank you... it is my favorite time of the day in summer.... and I love the peaceful quiet out there at that time before I can hear lawn mowers and weed eaters! I enjoy having my devotions and a cup of tea outside many summer mornings. :)

  3. This post was beautiful!

I was just sharing with my daughter yesterday how much I enjoy early morning walks, how peaceful they are, how they make you feel like you are living the day to the fullest, enjoying every moment. Sadly, I have only experienced this a very few times in my life. I have gotten in my own way of doing so.

Your post has spurred me on to enjoy each day to the fullest and to be more intentional about spending time to "walk in the Garden with Jesus."

    Thanks for sharing!

    1. This was a beautiful comment! I hope you find those intentional times with the Lord to be wonderful. I am glad this has spurred you on... it seems like we all need such encouragement from time to time. It is so easy to get to busy and miss out... I know this.. .and yet, sometimes I still miss out by rushing through my time with the Lord and I do not want to. :)

  4. God has certainly blessed us with some beautiful things to see. Thank you for taking me along on your walk, I can't wait till I'm recovered enough from my surgery to take my morning walks again. I love your photos, so pretty and detailed.I wish my photography skills were better.

    1. Those photography skills can improve with practice... just grab a camera... a little digital point and shoot will work fine and start taking pictures and load them to the computer and edit them. Just take pictures of what catches your eye... maybe even more than one shot and see what you like best... then try other subjects. It is very enjoyable and satisfying to capture beautiful likenesses on camera.... Thank you for visiting... it was so nice to have you. :)

    1. Thank you.... I did too... and I'm sure I will be taking many such walks this summer. I took a mini one today... it had rained and we need to weed the paths, so getting my feet wet limited my desire to keep going.... I just had to check on my plants after being gone for the weekend. :)
